# Here are the finalists for the 2024 World Fantasy Award

This year's World Fantasy Convention is its 50th, and last week, the con [announced](https://wfc2024.org/world-fantasy-judges-and-nominations/?ref=andrewliptak.com) the finalists for the annual World Fantasy Award. This year's convention will be held between October 17th and 20th, 2024 in Niagara Falls, NY.

The awards have been handed out annually since 1975, and are amongst the highest honors in the fantasy and horror genres, alongside the Hugo and Nebula Awards.
